'Goodbye TV show progress': Heartbroken 25-year-old gets alienated from her friend group, so she gets petty revenge by deleting all of their profiles on her Disney+ account

If you're a binge-watcher like me, keeping your place in a long show or series is like putting a bookmark on your streaming service. After working so hard to chronologically enjoy your favorite shows, losing your place and losing your algorithmic preferences not only messes with your viewing experience, it also ruins your carefully curated selection of TV shows, movie tastes, and overall vibe of your entertainment world. And to someone who's a true fan, that's priceless. 

This 25-year-old was frugal like many of us were back in those days, sharing a Disney+ account with her closest friends for years. However, when the dynamic of the group changed, she found that many of them had decided she was no longer a member of the group, forcing her out and ostracizing her from social events. But they seem to have forgotten who the admin was on their shared streaming account. Perhaps her petty revenge will be a little reminder of her existence, but more importantly, a dramatic standoff with her friend's algorithms in protest of their social betrayal.

  • difficult to be around, spread lies about me to get me ostracised and alienated entirely. It's a long story, but the jist of it is they all abandoned me when I needed them the most and it totally broke me.

  • then remake the profiles exactly the same as they were but now: all their watch history is gone! Algorithm, gone! Watch list, gone! I know in reality this probably won't

  • hinder them much, unless they were in the middle of a really long tv show, but it just felt good to do something petty and harmless to get back at them after all they did to me. Maybe I'll go back and put them all on Jr mode lol
